Anna Kane, the ex-wife of NHL player Evander Kane, has come forward as one of the accusers filing a sexual assault lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs. After previously filing anonymously as “Jane Doe,” Kane revealed her identity following legal demands from Combs’ lawyers.
In a statement, she asserted her determination to pursue justice, alleging that Combs, Bad Boy Records executive Harvey Pierre, and another individual gang-raped her in 2003 when she was a 17-year-old high school junior. According to her lawsuit, Kane claims she was trafficked across state lines, drugged, and assaulted at Combs’ New York recording studio.
Kane’s lawsuit is part of a growing wave of accusations against Combs, spanning incidents allegedly dating back to the 1990s. Multiple accusers have come forward, including women who say they were minors at the time of the alleged assaults.
Kane’s case also includes blurred photos she claims depict her with Combs on the night of the assault. The lawsuits describe emotional distress and lifelong impacts stemming from the alleged incidents, with judges deciding on a case-by-case basis whether accusers can remain anonymous.
Combs, who has denied all allegations, faces significant legal challenges, including a federal indictment in New York on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and other serious crimes.
Prosecutors allege that Combs used his music empire to create a criminal enterprise involved in numerous illegal activities, including forced labor and obstruction of justice. Meanwhile, attorney Tony Buzbee represents over 100 potential accusers, including 25 minors, claiming sexual misconduct by Combs.
